Elder Bittner, whom we love serving with he has such energy in serving and Elder Iereneo who has been here two weeks....Tongan/Hawaiian descent full of love for life and the Lord, his prayers move me to tears and his testimony is so full of love and insight...so glad we know these two powerhouse missionaries. They stop by all the time to share their excitement of the day and see what we experiences we have had!! Or give us a lesson if they need one more for their record!! They came over on Wednesday to share Elder Bittner's birthday cake, but we gave him a pan of birthday brownies...which they love and said they felt loved!! Our job was done!!
We had a Relief Society Craft Night and learned out to embroidery. Each wrote a saying on a block of fabric and then embroidered it. It was a new experience for quite a few of the sisters!!
Cora, just finished treatments for cancer and wrote "Miracles do happen". I wish you could all meet her, she is such an unique incredible woman who knows Heavenly Father. 
Each one of these dear sisters have their own story and I stand in awe of what they accomplish and their testimonies. Sister Partridge bottom picture on the left is incredible Relief Society President!! She is organized plus....I love watching her in action!!
We were able to have a great visit with Sister Uhrick today...have been trying for a while. They used to be real active and hopefully they will soon be back. Another great visit with Betty, I sure love that woman. Every time we go over she tells us of more blessings that have come to her since being baptized!!
We stopped by to see Jim Brotmarkle, his health is so much better!! He had color to his face and had energy. He has told us he isn't interested in the church, but we have enjoyed visiting with him monthly and become good friends. We will make one more visit before we come home and leave a Book of Mormon and some pamphlets just in case he gets some nudging from his wife who passed away.
It was Sister Dalisay's funeral on Saturday. She was a ward missionary when she passed away. We have known her in "old age" and she was still a goer. But the stories told of her at the funeral, makes me realize she was a force to be reckoned with all her life. At age 60 when she was called to the Philippines on a mission (where she was from) and 70 of the people she taught were baptized was disappointed she couldn't go to Russia and get the work going there!! I thought it was amazing she still went to the temple once a week, but a few short years ago when her eyesight started to fail, she would go ride up to the temple with a sister that worked near by and spent eight hours in the temple! I love the different traditions I am seeing here...at a Filipino funeral the family women wear white and the men dark suits and men and women wear white gloves. The funeral is open casket and afterward everyone in the chapel files by the the casket to say their goodbyes, then the family surround the casket and close it. Such a beautiful service.
Today was a missionary day. The missionaries, us and the Ward Mission Leader and his assistant spoke in sacrament meeting...then continued in the theme in the fifth Sunday meeting. It went very well, we had a lot of participation. Hope we were able to give a few ideas on how to share the gospel....that is the game of this earthly life...SHARE!!!!!
We are off to a Mission President's Fireside where the missionaries sing the gospel songs that touch your heart and a few new converts bear their testimonies and the President leaves a message. Always inspiring!! This one is in our church....excited it is close...one small problem is that it will all be in Spanish!!
