Christmas Stormy California Style!!

Sydney, Josh and Nate

 Mike and Julia and
family were here for
Christmas!!  It was
so fun!! The weather
was chilly and over
cast most of the time,
but it didn't stop us!
We just grabbed our
umbrellas and  off we
went on a walk and
walking on the beach!!

Christmas found us on
the Coranado Beach
 looking for shells,
playing in the chilly
waves, and even
watched some
dolphins swimming
off the coast.  Then
we came back to our
 aparment and had a
tasty meager Christmas
lunch, then went down
to Imperial Beach and
the girls were so excited
 because they were in
"shell" heaven.

Mike, Brandon, Aimee, Julia, Josh, Nate, Grandpa and Sydney
 Wednesday was our

San Diego Day! Dressed

warmly, we toured the

Midway Air Craft

Carrier...it is big!!

A chilly breeze

blowing on top!!

Mike, Julia and family
Mike's family at the front of the boat and we were on the back as we did a 45 min cruise
around San Diego Bay and heard all kinds of fun facts about the area.

Next was the tour of the
submarines and all kinds
of questions for Grandpa
about his time in the Navy
on the submarine.

Mike checking out the
periscope as Aimee and
Josh taking pictures.

Brandon sitting at the
"dive control center"
where Grandpa used
to sit!! :)

Thursday may have been chilling but
it was fun on the beach.  Nate in the
traditional "bury the boy" in the sand
picture!!

I can't get this picture

turned the right

way, but Nate and Mike

built a great sand castle.

While Brandon and Josh

were boogie boarding!!

They were two happy

boys!!

Afternoon we took off for Point
Loma to see the Lighthouse and
the tidal pools.  This is a sea
creature that lives in one of the
pools.
Then Friday came and we had to say goodbye....what an incredible
wonderful Christmas week we had!!  LOVED IT!!
Thank you Medskers!!

It was then back to mission life, Friday afternoon, visited two families...neither were home.
Friday evening we went to the temple with the Otay Mesa Ward.

Saturday we cleaned the church at 7 am, Elder Medsker helped with a painting service project,
and Sister Medsker repaired the Elder Jones and Elder Sterneckert's pants and ended the day
with a baptism for one of the Primary children!!

Today was our usual two wards meetings, both of them were very uplifting...glad we could be there!!
