YEA!! Thursday finally came......

The week waiting game...when will Thursday ever get here!!  Jonathan and Janet arrived Wednesday evening and we drove around so Janet could figure out where to run on Thursday morning, then we played cards and laughed and talked.  Soooooo fun!!  Then finally Thursday arrived and we met Jasi, Jade, Levi, Jill and Larry at the San Diego Temple and we all spend the day together!!  YEA!! FAMILY!!

We began by doing baptisms for the dead in the San Diego Temple, then on to lunch in LaJolla and after we spent some time looking at the seals on the LaJolla Beach...funny creatures!!  The birds are baby seagulls, I’ve never seen any before!!  Then on to the Mormon Battalion Visitor Center, a great place to visit.  We drove through downtown San Diego by the harbor to look at all the various kinds of huge boats.  The Star of India sail boat is there right how...beautiful!!

Next on to our apartment, so they could see where we lived!!  Changed our clothes into casual wear so we could go to the beach.  After visiting for a while Janet and Jonathan had to leave to get home.  The rest of us went down to the beach to enjoy some beach time!!  Then we walked to the end of the Pier to The Tin Fish and had fish and chips.  We spent a lot of time watching the pelicans fishing.  There were a lot of them...they fly around and suddenly dive bomb beak first into the ocean and come up with a fish.  It was so fun to watch them.  Then we drove along the very south side of Imperial Beach so we could show them how close we are to Mexico.

Such a fun, fun incredible day!!  Many, many sweet memories. For everyone else, Imperial Beach is a great place to visit...think on it :)

We spent a lot of time this week helping the Callahans pack...she finally allowed some help.  They will be moving to Houston to be near a granddaughter. They have had a rough few weeks, first an eviction notice then they found out he has prostate cancer.   But they are moving forward.  Elder Medsker is making all the arrangements for the move.

Opened Michelle’s letter last Sunday and Julia’s today.....these letters all make me cry!!  Thank you!!
