Moving Crew and Birthday Celebration!!

We put out the word with the two Elders we work with that we needed help in packing the Callahans...eight missionaries showed up!!  Two hours later the truck was packed.and ready to go.  One of the Elders took over packing the truck...he was efficient and fast, it was like a jigsaw puzzle put together.  Elder Medsker commented it looked like he had had some experience.  He said his father was Elders Quorum President and he always went along and they moved a lot of people! 

Next morning, we got the truck on the road with the friends of the family that were driving it. Later we picked up the Callahans and took them out to lunch at Chick-Fil-A to celebrate Elder Medsker's birthday!!  Happy Birthday to the best mission companion ever!!!!!!  Then we were off to the airport, to drop them off so they could catch their flight to Texas. A lot of work and effort from many people made it possible for them to start a new life and hopefully it will be easier for them.

Wednesday, July 18....we helped serve dinner to the homeless.  They don't have a shelter, just a place they serve dinner, so we bring the dinner with us.  We served tostados (sp?) with all the works.  The meat was great, I asked Sis. Tajlas how she made it as she explained, I told her I needed a recipe.  She said she was going to give me Mexican cooking lessons, another sister said she wanted to join in, she is Philippino!!
