Nate and a much shorter Grandma!!
This week we have spent quite a bit of time supporting an older couple in the Otay Mesa Ward. The Calahans have had a lot of health issues and money problems. They got behind on their rent and received an eviction notice. Elder Medsker was able to go over the notice and help them understand it. Mostly I just held Sister Calahan while she sobbed. Unfortunately, the Bishop is out of town and has been working with them. They are packing (and she doesn't want any help doing that!) and we have been arranging for a crew to help them move...not sure if it will be in a smaller apartment or to Houston with their granddaughter. They have to make some decisions and it is hard sometimes....
Elder Medsker prayed hard all week that the ward would be happy and safe while the Bishop was gone!!
A thought for the day..."Some people, like Angels, leave a hint of Heaven wherever they go." This describes many of you!! Thank you for your support.
