This is a hard blog to write, I have been postponing it all week. It is just hard to say goodbye to a brother, even in a blog. Edwin Durrell Summers died March 2, 2013 never recovering from a fall on the ice weeks earlier. His funeral was March 8, 2013 in Willard Utah, his home town for over 50 years and where he is buried. I am so grateful that we were able to go back home and say goodbye and witness the outpouring of love and memories of this great service oriented man. Deanne, his daughter and Steve, his son and others showed us a glimpse of this great man...the man who loved life, a business man, always serving others, loved auctions and always had projects going on at his home or his "cabin" in Paris, Idaho. He had a beautiful wife June, his high school sweetheart, two incredible sons and three inspirational daughters and grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved him dearly. A wonderful family that are following in their Dad's footsteps...well maybe except for the auctions!
I love this picture of Scott and me, it is just the two of us now with three brothers with Mom and Dad. So very, very grateful for eternal life and being able to see Mom and Dad and all the family I grew up with again someday!!
