Back Home and Family!

On Monday, we made a long 13 hour drive from Utah to Imperial Beach where Spring and yellow daisies along the road side are in full bloom. We were excited to have Jonathan with us to help drive and visit and catch up on life!!  He drove from California City to Barstow and drove up with us and back.

Tuesday morning, we woke up early and did our morning shift at the temple..Saturday it closed for cleaning for two weeks.

Elder Medsker had Bishopric meeting on Tuesday night, he said it was a good one, they had a lot to discuss about callings, etc.

We got a couple of visits in and found a delightful Spanish man had seems willing to have the Elders come and teach him again, he was baptized about 15 years ago and has been inactive for a long time.

Saturday morning we joined with the Relief Society and and High Priest to clean the church, then had our weekly Ward Mission meeting....so good to see Elders Howard and Tirrell again!  Then early afternoon, Jonathan and Janet, Jasi and Jade arrived.  They come down so we could all go to the San Diego Temple before Jasi leaves on her mission. How exciting to do a session in the temple with a granddaughter!! Jade went with and did baptisms for the dead....such a great day.  We had a sister missionaries take this picture and they and Jasi had a lot of fun talking about missions and clothes!!  It was fun to see them all chatting.

We had church at nine this morning, Elder Medsker was conducting, he had ask the Elder's Quorum Presidency to talk on the Atonement and had Jasi sing "True to You" between talks.  Talks were great and Jasi's song was incredible (many tears being wiped away) both the words and her beautiful voice.  A great meeting!!  Good to see our ward family again....

Elder Medsker and I started our ward Temple Preparation class today.  We had three couples and are go excited for them to go through the temple!!

Sister Medsker and soon to be Sister Medsker!!  A classic picture because we will both be serving our missions at the same time, she leaves on June 5 and will be serving in the Washington Spokane Mission.
