Easter in the San Diego Mission

HAPPY EASTER!!  We have had a great day.  We were asked to give the prayers in sacrament meeting in our morning ward.  For the Easter program we sang a lot of the hymns of our Savior, seemed to have a little deeper meaning singing them on Easter.  In our afternoon ward, we had been ask to speak.  Sister Medsker spoke on the Atonement and Elder Medsker spoke on the Resurrection, as always the person preparing the talk always gains more that those listening. We love the Savior and are so grateful for His atoning sacrifice for all of us and His resurrection that we may be with Him and all of you forever.

As we walked in the church this afternoon, a stake high councilor came over the shook our hands and talked to us about the missionary work.  We ended up walking into the chapel about three minutes before the meeting started.  As we went up and sat on the stand a relieved Bishop immediately came over the shook our hands.  He said he was so glad to see us and had been trying to decide what to do if his speakers didn't show up.  Sorry Bishop!

We have had a good week.  We spent sometime helping the Andersens work on their house getting it ready to sell.  We were able to catch some people home that we have trying to get for a few weeks...had some great visits! We were also able to go to the temple with one of the wards.  On Saturday morning we went to a Primary Easter activity...they had a good turn out, it was fun to help out with the children.
