This is the "center" where the missionaries are to answer questions, hand out brochures, show pictures of some of the rooms in the temple or just talk.  The wind blew it over and bent the poles, so we just got it back and with a sign on it!!!  Now people know why we are there!!  We have a cart full of supplies and two chairs.  Word is all the approvals from the city have been made....so we are hopeful that sometime in the future they will begin a visitor's center, we really need it!!

We have been busy this week with service and visiting....so excited to find someone who had not moved and wanted to talk!!  Yea!!  Oh, we also inspected the missionaries apartments...they keep their apartments clean for the most part.  We took them brownies this time....they LOVE our inspections!!  We love them!!

This weekend was our Chula Vista Stake Conference.  We had two members of the Seventies here because President Clove was being released.  He is one of the most loving men we have ever met, he has been so kind to us, always asking how things are going.  He and his wife have had us over for dinner a couple of times.  We didn't know any of the men who were put in, but from their testimonies we are in good hands.  Talks by the visiting authorities were inspiring...glad we got to hear them.

Tonight we went to the Mission President's Fireside.  They are held every month in one of the mission areas.  We haven't been because they have been so far away, but this one was only 25 minutes away.   The missionaries all came in singing "Called to Serve" .... so incredible!!  The program was different missionaries, or groups singing and two recent converts spoke. There is something about music that just touches the soul.  We have some incredible singers in this mission!!  President Clayton ended the meeting with a short message to the investigators that were thereHe invited them to come and see...and you will know.  He talked about gaining a testimony and said  "a testimony doesn't come in your head, it comes to your heart".  I liked that!
